Anybody thinking about the usage of heel Lifts, the only height increase answer that guarantees results, shouldn't ignore the guidance given right here and rush into huge increases of height, it's no good to become hospitalized following an avoidable fall as everyone will be the exact same height lying down

dirty water

Nothing new about the process of distilling water, been done for many ages, how is this going to purify enough water to supply counties at an affordable cost?

Dirty Water

That's exactly the type attitude that stifels new thinking. You can stay in your own negative, unproductive, little world, and let the free thinkers of the world attempt to solve the real issues that face mankind. Many times it's old ideas, either repackaged or repurposed, that can make a vast change to the way we live.

Apparently it consumes about 1KW electric power to produce 1000 litres in 24 hours. I suspect that is optomistic. The same "inventor" also recently invented the Stirling steam engine to drive a generator for this. The stirling engine would be about 15% or 20% efficient, possibly less in a hot country, and was originally made in Cornwall about 1760 for powering lifts in Cornish mines.

The large and inefficient electric usage IS a problem - I hope they're working on this. BUT I do think that the idea, although small at the moment, is an excellent one. Let's hope that governments or the WHO have some money to spare to increase the amount of clean water!
