Keepin' It Green: What You Thought You Knew

Treehugger gets comprehensive, compiling all the info you'll ever need to go green electronically. I've only gotten throught the second part of the first section, but already I feel enlightened. Well first I felt like an idiot, then I felt enlightened. Did you know that wasting electricity is possible even when your electronics are turned off? Since I was young my Mom insisted all electronics, including the television,be turned off when one left the room. This was a pain since, as mentioned in an earl  read more »

Pimp my gadget: Wireless Couture

You buy jewelry solely from Tiffanys, dine only at 5-star restaurants and never fly commercial. So when it comes to your phone of course it has to be designer, dahling. Prada to be exact.
Prada phone
Okay, this LG collabo is just like the iphone, but it says Prada, dahling. Slated for release this year, first in Europe then in America.

Kindle Fans Flame

The Best Webcam I've Ever Owned

My daughter relocated to Austin, Tx recently. She had a webcam, I didn't. After a little research on Retrevo  which indicated that Logitech had the edge over Creative I headed over to Fry's. I decided to splurge on the high-end Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000  and boy am I glad I did. Webcams have come a long way in the last few years. Th  read more »

Live from the CES!

Whew, CES turned out to be more exciting than I had thought. When we flew in on Sunday evening, traffic was light, there was no chaos anywhere, no lines to get a CES badgeholder and no lines at the hotel. It just seemed anti-big-consumer-show. But come Mon, the show floor opens and people start pouring in, pushing and shoving to find their way through. Here is a rundown.  read more »
