Interpreting user data is a hell of a task and guess what? The data for the 2010 Pulse study and this study came from surveys completed by average users - the author is merely interpreting these results. It has nothing to do with his 'predictive abilities,' it's all about what the consumer is saying.
"The sample size was over 1,000 distributed across gender, age, income and location in the United States." - How is this the writers' fault if the consumer is giving 'misleading' data?
Hang on to your day job.
