Cornings Reveals Gorilla Glass 2, 20% Thinner Yet Just as Strong
Cornings showed off the highly anticipated sequel to their legendary Gorilla Glass design, aptly named Gorilla Glass 2. The new glass managed to shave off 20% of its thickness without losing any tensile strength, which will allow the next generation of devices to be thinner than ever. Gorilla Glass is found in a majority of devices today due to its ability to withstand scratches and take damage. Asus, Acer, and Microsoft have already jumped on board with Gorilla Glass 2, with Apple being a likely repeat customer as well.
