I have to admit. I am an real old timer. Macintosh since 1984. I am more hooked in OS X than IOS. I like the hierarchy, folders etc. Have downsized to Macbook Air 11. Totally happy with that, best ever. No iPad so far. I was late adopting an Iphone. Still uses it mostly as a phone (and not to forget camera (new 4S)). Reads e-mail on the fly, occasionally answers on iPhone. Very happy about Messages, replaces many e-mails. The possible 7.85 mini iPad is now considered. It will never replace my MBA 11, but with a low weigth, a lower price and especially acces to certain apps, not available to OS X, it will find a niche in my life/travellife. Retina resolution would be very fine even against a moderate price . Living in Europe with a favorable dataplan for my iPhone I dont't care much for iPad/3G, Wi-Fi is fine, and the iPhone serves as a brlliant 3G/Wifi for both MBA and iPad. Looking forward.
