I tend to find that the second someone says "sheeple," the quality of the following argument is poor. I am not disappointed here.

Why does one necessarily have go be mindless if one buys a popular product? Do you own a major brand of automobile? Do you have a major brand appliance? Why is it always the same tired arguments in computing? Why do so many people insist on establishing their imaginary nerd-cred with a choice of OS? So bizarre.
