Good advice and even I learned something...

I've known about most of this since I bought my first HDTV and I have been using the DVE Blu-ray and color filters to calibrate since the beginning and the world of difference it makes cannot be overstated. I have a $3900 Samsung and a $300 Vizio and though my Vizio isn't the Sammy, after a proper calibration, I'd put it up against the best of them.

Thanks for the tip about the bias lighting. That is one I didn't know about. Works perfect because there is already one behind the main set.
