We know money is going to be tight this year but just in case you can afford more than the $50 for gifts we suggested in the other Mothers Day gift guide, here are some picks for Mother’s Day gadget gifts that cost around $100.

The only iPod you’re going to find for under $100 is the 2nd generation 1GB Apple iPod Shuffle. It’s very tiny, can hold up to 240 songs, has a 12 hour battery life, and comes in many colors.

Broadband connections, improved software and better quality webcams have made video conferencing an enjoyable experience. For a little over $50 you can get the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000, a good quality webcam that you can use to have video calls with your Mom. If you want the top of the line webcam that delivers great quality images even in low light, spend another $30 for the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. Both have built-in microphones.

WiFi Flash Memory Card
Simplify Mom’s digital camera dealings with a flash memory card with built-in WiFi so you don’t ever have to hook up the camera to a computer to download photos. You can get the 2 GB version for around $100.

A good quality photo printer should be part of any home system. For less than $100 you can get Mom a highly rated, fast photo printer that makes glossy prints for around $.25.

iPod
If you can afford to move up from the iPod Shuffle you might consider an Apple iPod classic. The Apple iPod Classic comes in black or white and has a big 2.5-inch color display. You can buy one with 80GB of storage for $249 or 160GB for $349. The Apple iPod Nano would also make a great Mother’s Day gift, They come in colors and cost $149 for a 4GB version and $199 for 8GBs. For a special Mother’s Day touch, you can get a free engraving on an iPod when you buy it from Apple's online store.

Microsoft Zune
Microsoft continues to improve their Zune MP3 player and even offers features not found on iPods like WiFi connectivity which lets you trade songs with other Zune users, surf the web, or use other online interactive features. Zunes come in different colors and can also be engraved with a special Mother’s Day message. A 4Gb Zune costs around $149, an 8GB costs around $179, and an 80GB version retails for $249.

Kindle
Amazon’s Kindle is a new book reader that includes high speed 3G internet access for downloading books and browsing the web. It sells for $399. The Kindle has received mixed reviews due to some ergonomic issues but gets many rave reviews as a groundbreaking product. They’re in very short supply but you might just get lucky and find one for sale somewhere.
