Retrevo's Official 2008 Tax Rebate FAQ

In case you had any questions about how gadgets and the tax rebate are related, here's a list of everything you need to know.

Retrevo's Official 2008 Tax Rebate FAQ

  1. How do I get my rebate?
  2. Will I get a rebate if I file an extension on my taxes?
  3. Do I have to buy something with my rebate?
  4. Do I have to buy a new gadget with my rebate check?
  5. If I do decide to splurge on something new and shiny, where can I get help figuring out what to buy?

How do I get my rebate?
You must file a 2007 tax return and have earned enough money to qualify.

Will I get a rebate if I file an extension on my taxes?
A special procrastinator's rebate will be mailed out through December 31, 2008

Do I have to buy something with my rebate?
There is no law saying you have to spend your rebate on anything but it would be downright unpatriotic not to stimulate the economy with a purchase.

Do I have to buy a new gadget with my rebate check?
The government doesn't care if you buy a new GPS, Digital Camera, Camcorder, iPhone, or whatever cool gadget strikes your fancy but it would probably make you feel good.

If I do decide to splurge on something new and shiny, where can I get help figuring out what to buy?
We're glad you asked that because it just so happens that retrevo is preparing a guide on spending your rebate check on some cool stuff. You can also get great gadget buying advice and all kinds of product information including reviews and manuals on retrevo.com.

*Note: We hope you got a chuckle out of this special Retrevo FAQ but just in case you want the real "Official" FAQ, you can find the Government's version here but it's probably not going to be as funny.
