Chapter Summary:
GPS is based on a total of 24 satellites that circle the earth and are constantly trans- mitting their position...The GPS receiver uses this data and calculates its own geo- graphical position on the basis of the information transmitted by the various satellites......
For a sufficiently precise positioning it is necessary to obtain the data from at least three satellites...With the data from 4 or more satellites the altitude above sea level can also be ascertained...The determination has an accuracy of about 3 yards......

When logbook recording starts, every movement of the vehicle is recorded, even when you are not navigating......
When first used, the Logbook.xls file is created in the MN6\Logbook directory on the nav- igation device's memory card...If you delete or move this file, a new file is created when you next record a trip...
The device supports various types of trips for which one could record mileage...You can record mileage for Business, Personal, Commutes to work, etc......
You can use the NAVIGON 2100/2120 to record your vehicle mileage for tax purposes or for expense reports...You can open the file with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program...Each recorded trip is added at the bottom of the spreadsheet as a new entry......
The device is powered by its internal battery...Battery charge is sufficient......
