The Travelmate itself is technically very good with a speedy graphics card (a descrete radeon mobility M7), a DVD/CDRW combo drive, a decent screen and two So-Dimm slots for upgrading the Ram...Acer support is practically non existant, whilst they have a good team of telephone staff they have a massive backlog of machines to be fixed...I did not thought it was this good before I got it......

Bottom line is their technicians either don't know what they are doing, or just don't care...No volume button, speaker is kinda bad, buttons aren't very responsive on one of the 2 we bought, gets hot sometimes, doesn't have the applications they said it had, but overall a great PC...Intel's GMA 950 can do more than I thought it could! It will play DVDs in good quality and it runs Half-Life 2 at low-medium...

Nice Laptop, lots of performance, but the battery is a joke, lucky to get 20 minutes of battery life per charge...The processor speed is great.A good multi-function laptop, with the same abilities you get with others only for less money...So folks, if yur contemplating a new computer you wont go wrong, always get the extended warrenty it pays, trust Tigerdirect.com TOPS!!!!!!
