Big hard disk...Great screen and sound....Poor photos/video footage...4:3 screen....You can capture MPEG-4 footage at a 640 x 480 resolution at 25 or 30 frames per second, which is roughly equivalent to DVD quality...The thin, rugged case is a plus point, but all things considered, the 404 Camcorder is a bit of a disappointment...Compare prices for the Archos404......
Light and compact...display on videos...The software is easy to use but could do with a bit of user input to make it even better...This product has not yet been reviewed...The whole this is also light and compact......
Also the viewing angles are bad, tilt it up 20 degrees and it looks too dark...Overall, put a better screen on this, and i would pay 50% more...the video is good, definitely better than an ipods visuals...

The voice recorder is weak and is only good if you are speaking directly in to it or within 5 or 6 feet...Picture viewing is good and video seems good although you have to pay extra for the DVD plugins...For those people who want a video player that will look good and be easy on the eyes- the Archos404 is the product for them...
