I would recommend getting one of the optional mounting brackets that has an adjustable neck...I also recommend a lighter socket adapter if you need to plug in a cell phone, power inverter, etc...I do recommend mounting it outside, if you can...
I original order a XR9, which is exactly the same as this except there is no car-kit...it is a good atartung model anyway...The only thing I dislike about this reciever is the LCD screen isn't full color...which I'm sure Audiovox is working on a cost efficient alternative...I give this reciever a 10! Keep it up Audiovox, DWTII...
