The BenQ MP611 stands out in a number of respects...Although this is an affordable projector it's a pity you only get a VGA cable and power cable in the package, with nothing to connect to the S-video and composite inputs...We found that the zoom and focus rings had a cheap feel, much like a kid's kaleidoscope, which reinforced the feeling that this is very much a budget projector...
BenQ wasn't joking around when they said it was whisper quiet...The image quality is SVGA, but when I hook that HD receiver up it'll be poppin'! Don't let SVGA deter you from buying this 'cause the quality is still good...Also its too bright that I need to swith to the presentation mode ~~ unbleivable~~ it's good to have music when I turn on / off the projector...
Features are OK, but there are some irritating qualities that I will talk about below...The picture is good, although there is noticable screen door effect...There is also some washout on very bright scenes in a movie, and I find it a hard compromise between scenes very dark and very light scenes...
Been using this for a few weeks now and couldn't be more happy with it...Contrast is great, picture quality is great, its bright and the interface is just fine...Looks cool with a nice finish on it too...
