It does a remarkably good job on bare floor...So, bottom-line, if you are a reasonably healthy adult, able to lift and bend, don't have noise-sensitive neighbors, live in an average-sized space, don't have a lot of fancy fringed area rugs or breed Himalayans, and want an excellent, inexpensive vacuum, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one...Overall an excellent product for an excellent price...
Not sure what was up with that other review, but I'm very impressed with this inexpensive cleaner...This is the worst vacuum I have ever had the misfortune to own...The outside of the vacuum actually gets coated in dust...
Overall, I didn't encounter any issues with the vacuum picking up regular floor dirt/debris/the occasional dropped item...The neat thing about the bin is that the contents are often spun around, and the dust is mostly (not perfect, but I'd say a good 85+%) separated into two smaller containers just off of the main bin area...Subscribe to More Reviews on Bissell CleanView 3596...
