All I really have to say is that it takes me longer to boil water and mix in Instant coffee...If you're in the market for a new coffee maker, I recommend you get this Bosch unit as well as a Bosch grinder...Hopefully the new one will function better, although I'm not holding my breath given the poor design overall...
