Sturdy ...Low ink consumption ...Very reliable ....None ....Of course I'm not such a heavy user but I do some paperwork for clients at home and keep guessing when the ink will run out...As a bonus, the usability of the cartridge is very good...I'd would recommend this one without hesitation......
The HL-1240 is easy to set up and operate--for example, installing and removing the toner cartridge and clearing paper jams are a cinch--and the documentation on its CD-ROM includes videos that show how to perform tasks...Brother sells a $299 external ethernet adapter for the HL-1240, but that's as expensive as the printer itself...Brother's networked...
This ordinary-looking, squarish box has been a popular choice in the past, but newer models have taken away the BrotherHL-1240's edge...If not exactly knocked out by it, you'll be generally pleased with output from the HL-1240...Unusually, you can drop the print resolution down to 150dpi if you want, though we wouldn't recommend it for important work...
Low price and operating cost, very good text, fast USB installation could be more seamless Someone call the men in the little white van...I had nothing but good experiences with brother, and this looked like a solid printer with great features...When the Minolta got old and started to smell like burning dust whenever I turned it on, I thought it might be a good idea to find another printer......
We've replaced the high-yield toner every 2 months or so ($160), and we are on the 2nd drum replacement unit ($240), but quality remains excellent, speed is very good, noise is low, and no downtime has been needed except for routine cleaning...Highly recommended for Mac and Windows users...With only two lines running from the back of the machine, the overall appearance is uncluttered...
