Overall, this is a very good printer that I can recommend...So far it's been dead-on reliable, as good as the 4+ ever was...I have not had any trouble so I can not comment on that but the Docs, local and on the website are really good...
I originally bought a multi-function unit and returned it (however, the MFC print quality was good...Wonderful printer! WOW!!! Duplex so good I started to print books on demand with this...As good as this machine could be, customer service has been less than adequate......
The printer comes with 16 MB of memory, which is good enough for most applications, but it would probably speed up if you spend the $50 for a 128 MB DIMM...the toner cartridge is good for 6000 normal text sheets, and costs about $90; this works out to 1.5 cents per page, a very low figure compared to many laser printers...Sturdy, Reliable, Fast, Prints from DOS, Good Quality, Inexpensive per page None...
