I am an IT professional and am accustomed to working with many HP and Xerox printers at work...I never really considered a Brother printer but after reading the good reviews, I decided to buy one for home...Black text output is as good as my office's HP 4700, and the color graphs are close enough that I wouldn't pay the extra money for the 4700...

My only complaint is that printer is a little loud, but that's hardly an actual problem...I do find there is a slight curl but for me it seems go away as the pages sit on my desk and the color is far more superior to other demos I tested in the same price range so I'd definitely recommend this printer...Bought this printer on recommendation from other purchasers on Amazon...
