Although color was vibrant and accurate in text and color documents in the Canon, the overall quality suffered due to the loose pixels...Although the photo was acceptable by layman's standards (my $300 printer from college couldn't do this), don't buy the BJC-1000 for its photo-printing ability...The BJC-1000 isn't the fastest instrument out there...

I would highly recommend it if you are looking in this price range...OH MY GOD! I could grow a beard while this was printing! It took FOUR MINUTES, to print that! Using a color cartridge! That is way slower than 0.6ppm, that's more like 0.2ppm! I do NOT recommend this printer...If you want a nice Canon Printer, i recommend the BJC-2110, 3000, or 6000...
