It's big and brazen, It's sturdy ...It's Canon...It's 3 ...1 Megapixels ...Uses lots of battery, Not so hot when icreasing ISO...As a Ciao member you could earn up to £5 with this review...Pictures above ISO 100 reduce the quality drastically when seen at A4, iI found...It has great appeal (looks wise) it looks even more impressive with the extra battery grip I got......

Comparisons to the D1 are hard to avoid, because both cameras represent their maker's current lowest-priced digital SLR, and the D1 costs nearly twice as much as the D30...We were also impressed with the D30's handling, image quality, ease of use, light weight, and feature set...From the front, the D30 looks like Canon's new Elan 7 35-mm SLR...The dial navigates...

Too bad there is no spotmetering on non-1-series camera's...I'm still using my good ol' EOS D30...I wanted to get a 10D or a 300D but opted to get the D30 since my friend gave me a very good offer...
On the other hand it's not as bad as most people say it is...I have had pretty good results in low light...But if you are looking for a supurb digital photographic tool at a good price that can print upto 11x14 images then this camera would be a great choice...
Having said all that, this camera really is a joy to use, and once you get used to the instant feedback, your shooting skills will improve, and you'll start getting compliments on how good you are...It really *is* that *good* of a camera...I recommend the Canon EOS D30 unequivocally; it is the best you can buy without breaking the bank...
