Movie...After many bad experiences a few years ago with models such as the QV-10, I wasn't expecting much, but ended up being more than happy with the 8000SX...What a bad way to make a first impression about battery life...Once I actually started...
This won't take long either, as the 2000UX is equipped with a USB connection...Another innovative feature is the camera's ability to create mini movies as either a series of JPEGs or AVIs...In last year's round-up this would have been one of the highest specified cameras but it's merely a standard figure this time around - a clear sign of the steadily increasing capabilities...
Many cameras produce odd bluish highlights here, but the QV-2000 didn't fall prey to that trap...Interestingly, while Casio doesn't indicate the effective ISO of the QV-2000 (either in the manual or in the file headers), it appears that the sensitivity boost in "high" mode is relatively modest, increasing the shutter speed by about 50% all else being equal...Good...
I am not an expert photographer but I am pretty good for a novice...I guess this is the point where I realized I really love this camera--I didn't feel like "upgrading" and anything with the same features would have cost several hundred dollars, so I knew I had a good deal with the Casio...If subsequent models have a more sturdy lens cover design, I would recommend this camera...
10"x8" are very good better than some film pics due to contrast retention...It wouldn't be bad if the manual infinity setting worked correctly, but infinity must be about 3 feet...I've taken lots of good pictures with it...
