For more regular use, I would recommend getting the external (magnet-base) antennae...There are not many choices out there for hand-held CBs -- Based on what's out there, this seems like a good choice...I recommend this radio to all CB'ers, especially hunters and fisherman who communicate with buddies while outdoors...

I can only speak from my own experience and that is a very good one with this handheld...I'm getting out between 4-5 miles, light weight, good controls and fairly durable...very bad cb very bad Picks up so much car noise it is unusable...

Easy To Use, Lightweight, Seemstohavesomequality Drains Battery, Short Range, Batterys Dont Last Long i use this radio in transportation of tractor n trailers...on the other hand if u buy a little wil or a large antenna and buy the bnc connector to go on where the antenna goes to hook it up to a regular cb antenna i got about 2 miles and it was a little staticy...i think this radio should be a last...
