I figure something at the low cost would be good for the kids but it seems to be giving them problems and they haven't dropped it or anything...Whenever the backlit dsplay shuts off, there is static interference, like bad AM radio reception...sound quality is good and a little loud so it uses batteries quicker...
Expandable to 768 MB with SD card - good if you get a working player...The MP-C641 is unreliable and put together with cheap parts...It's incredibly inexpensive, it has an FM tuner built in, it is expandable and has no bad sound issues...
A loose wire developed in the speaker socket after six months, so I dumped it...Don't know if quality is a general problem, or if I just had bad luck...Going to try the SanDisk brand next...
