The X5 is about the same size and weight as the current-generation 20GB iPod...Loading the X5 with content is simple: Plug it in via USB and drag files to the appropriate folder...The device also supports TXT files (which look very good), but not Audible audio books...Overall subjective audio quality is very good, sounding very similar to the iPod's, with solid bass response...

Screen too small for watching movies...Like the pig from Babe, this music box seems to be suffering from an identity crisis...The device sounds great thanks to the full-bodied bass and precise high-end performance, and battery life is good at 14 hours......
No restrictions, vast format support, colour screen, video support...occassionally clunky interface, poor firmware following, video support is flawed...The IAUDIO X5 is not a MP3 player your average consumer has...In addition, the X5 plays other more common formats - MP3, WMA etc...Although Cowon offer some software, it's usually much easier to stick to your own choice of synchronisation...
Video playback at 15fps is good considering the display size...Navigation is from a 5-way joystick, which is as good as Ipod and more comfortable than just about everything else...No video recording No external volume controls No video output! Conclusion: At its current price, the iAudio X5 has no direct competition...
