I recently bought a pair of football boots for more than £100...The major difference with the DVR 1600 though, is that it's £150 cheaper...The only other connections are outputs for S-video, composite video, analogue stereo audio and coaxial digital audio...
For my purposes,to make my personal video library more compact, the CyberHomeDVR 1600 is a pretty good item...You can set up for anywhere for an hour in HQ (High Quality) to SLP(Super Long Play), which is not as good as VHS...Does a good job with DVD+RW media...
TOTAL DUD!!!!! Clock works great, interface is quite good Kept freezing up when playing commercial movies, doesn't record, can't finalize discs, that's all the farther I got...It kept saying "bad disk", until on my forth try it finally read it...I then put one of my last 2 Fuji DVD+RW DVD's (which are a recommended disk) into the coastermaker...
i purchased 2 of these worthless units and unfortunately did not actually open them up and use them till almost a year later...When it works the picture seems good,so it's a shame,dont hold out much hope though this is a piece of junk...Anyway, on the plus side the price is terrific and it does burn all formats even though it only claims DVD+ Buy at your own risk......
