We would add that Dyson has good telephone customer service as well as an on-line diagnostic guide...If you are doing mostly off the floor cleaning, probably no upright is recommended...In spite of my criticisms I still feel that the DC07 is a very good vacuum cleaner, albeit a very expensive one...
