Like the C66, the C86 uses Epson's DuraBrite inks, with a separate cartridge for each color...And they certainly don't look as good as those printed on Epson's own photo paper...The C86 earns an excellent rating for text...Photos fall just short of excellent, and graphics are just under very good...

I decided to update slightly and chose the C86 model...On the whole I can recommend this printer to you subject to the following...It will print at 22 ppm depending on the print subject matter.It will print good quality photos onto the right paper, although this is a rather slow printing process.It is very fast at printing text which is my main use for it...
