For the coffee traditionalist AND for those who long for the taste and smell of home! This little perc has been a presence in our family for thirty or forty years...The machine lasts endlessly (unless you put the whole thing in the dishwasher-not recommended), and you don't ever have to buy a filter...But I like a good cup of coffee and for years have been disappointed with drip coffee makers...
My 8-cup Farberware version of this FCP240 gave out after about 5 years...I have a bad habit of leaving it plugged in at the socket, unplugging it at the base of the pot, and then re-plugging it in at the base of the pot, which you are not supposed to do...This crisis of course happened first thing in the morning...
