I switched to batteries and was very, very pleased with the sound quality and overall performance...So, if I wanted a player solely for outdoor (battery only) use, I'd highly recommend this player even though it does not have an am-fm radio...I think the price is good but, I think for the price a radio should be included and, for a few cents more companies should include the adapter made specially...
Sound quality There are too many to put in this list...A good friend and I went to Best Buy and just turned our backs on our digital audio players and vowed to return to portable CD players...This player plays the files in different order each time...
