The 728 replaced the 720 in 2002 and is the same as the 720 except that it has 64 megs of RAM while the 720 has 32...If you're a fan of that model, you'll probably be quite pleased with the 720...The unit is slim, highly portable and rich with features...
Too bad HP discontinued the model - perhaps because it is an effective substitute for other overpriced products such as clunky laptops and even clunkier windows XP - but it is still available here and there...I recommend HPC?s to all those in education, wanting a device many times smaller and lighter than a laptop...The product is discontinued...
use it for 99% of my word processing and spreadsheet tasks when away from home...it boots up and hibernates automatically eliminating need to boot up and shut down...but if -- like me -- you do mostly word-processing work, definitely worth considering...
