Nice graphical user interface, built-in help and tips, comfortable to hold, easy to use...The images and movies that you shoot with the M417 are stored on a SD/MMC card and the camera has 16MB of internal memory...The recycle times for the flash between shots was longer than most recent cameras -- I had to wait at least 3-4 seconds for the flash to charge...The user interface is also very easy...

Compact; on-camera help and tips; useful Adaptive Lighting technology to brighten dark areas; red-eye removal in playback mode....Mediocre image quality and performance; no speaker for voice annotation or video playback....The M417 fits the bill nicely...The M417 does come with high quality HP software for transferring photos, as well as letting you designate who to email pictures...

In general performance, unfortunately the M417 doesn?t shine as brightly as it might...Despite these rather serious flaws, the camera does have a number of good points...The Adaptive Lighting technology could, under the right circumstances, create a very good picture, but the trick is to only use it when you need it...
