High compatibility and accessory range a businessmans dream...Dont try and make it a walkman as well as a filofax replacement...Away goes the CD player, I can have the Ipaq do the job, memory permitting...So far it all seems like good fun, and it is...The screen is surprisingly detailed, and for a device the size of your wallet, it aint alf good......

The 3900 series recently came to an increasingly crowded Pocket PC scene - has it got what it takes to make a good impression...Sound quality is typically good, as we've come to expect from the iPAQ...It's good that a second stylus is supplied, but I wish that more manufacturers would learn to make two-part chargers...

Having said that, in general use there's little to tell the H3970 apart from its 206MHz StrongARM predecessor - the H3870 (see Product update, issue 90, p105...The colours are solid, deep and vibrant, and the viewing angles are good...You're only ever going to look at your PDA face on, and the Asus' screen is more than good enough...
