When I purchased this product I was looking primarily at Sonys, but the salesman suggested if I wasn't interested in digital at this time to give the Hitachi a look...This is a great camera to record the family outing and dub tapes for the rest of the family...I still am amazed at how clear this camera is, and easy to operate! Good choice...
