I didnt really know much about GPS when bought the item, so I bought it on recommendation (my friends have used many other brands as well, but everyone seemed to think the hollux was one of the best), and have I never regreted buying the hollux 236...I was quite surprised to see it hasnt actually dropped down that much in price, but then you are getting a really good unit...

I went to Salalah and it showed me the way and helped me get back home from mountains and deserts even tho Salalah was always cloudy, never saw the blue sky, but still it would get settelites within 15 seconds...I can't say enough good things about the Holux 236...

GPS on Sony Ericsson w810i using a Bluetooth GPS receiver Holux GPSlim 236...Too bad that my home town Sungai Petani does not need it ko...Not many good things to say about Garmin Mobile Xt but the Garmin 10x is nice...what is more worth to buy, Holux 236 or Garmin 10X, what are the price in Malaysia...

It is good, however, to have the included car charger handy for those long trips...Bottom line however is that this is a very solid unit (I drop it in my briefcase, pop it on the dashboard, and generally don't treat it with kid gloves...when you're on unfamilar ground, who needs an unreliable GPS unit...
