Although small, light and cheap, the R40e isn't a great performer and lacks features...We always praise IBM for the quality of its machines, and this R40e is no exception...IBM doesn't sell the R40e with a wireless adaptor as standard, but we've allowed manufacturers to include a separate PC Card...Only consider the R40e if portability is a crucial...

R32, the ThinkPad R40 stuffs so many great features into a
lightweight unit that you'd never know it's supposed...The R40's printed
documentation is limited to one slim troubleshooting
manual...A floppy drive costs extra, and IBM ends free technical support after one year...The Pentium M model is fast and runs a good...
