Great Image, good value Fan noise a bit high I have had my InfocusSP5000 now since the end of December 2005, and so far am very pleased with this projector...The X1 also had excessive fan noise, but nowhere near this bad...The picture is very good, but if you buy this thing, you better plan to build a sound proof enclosure around it as I have already begun to do...
I wouldn't recommend using the projector to do upconversion or deinterlacing - treat this as a simple monitor and you will get amazing results...Don't forget the $300 power and video cables :-P Cons: Proprietary M1 connector is someones idea of a bad joke...The big negative with the SP5000 is that the colors near black suck...
