Reasonable value, but the GR-D230 doesn't distinguish itself in video quality or the features on offer...Despite the low price, the JVC GR-D230 actually sits at the higher end of JVC's camcorder range...The result of interpolation was evident, however, and the GR-D230's photography isn't up to the standard of a true 2-megapixel...

At first glance the JVC GR-D230 looks very much like one of the DVD-R/RW cameras...However, it does have some similarities to the DVD cams, such as being genuinely able to transfer video to PC over USB...The camera also has a night mode included, but it uses a light enhancement tool instead of infrared filming like some of the other cameras...
