I got a good discount on it so price was not a factor and have used it for the past 2 years...The images are good quality because the KM are good quality and in some cases, exceed some of the other brands in image quality and performance...I suspect amertue use, in good conditions the camera would last better, but as a Pro you have to work in what ever the conditions are...
