A very attractive phone - lots of features...Picks up finger marks easily...I've recently traded my faithful old LG chocolate for the LGKE970, also known as the LG Shine...It is cased in stainless steel and quite heavy in weight because of this, so I wouldn't exactly recommend this as light weight phone- but its still not a bad weight at 115g, and its a slim phone...
Instead of a toggle or a joystick, the KE970 features a scroll bar set between two buttons...Our only complaint was that there's not a good thumb grip on the bottom of the slider...The backlighting is also rather dim, though the numbers on the keys are a good size...
LG?s new Tri-band slider phone is called the Shine KE970, but I?m going to call it the Shine from here on in...I find that smooth reflective materials aren?t the best idea for handsets as they tend to gather grease from fingertips and ears...I normally don?t care for flat keys, but in this case I found that they were easy to use due to being large and visually well separated...

brushed stainless steel body is scratch resi stant, the camera is good (the video sucks though), the sound is lousy,and the slide has a habit of switching the phone off since LG has for some unknown reason put the power button right in it's path...bluetooth,mp3,flash,msw some mp3 cannot be supported,cannot edit screen icons LG shine is good ultra stylish phone...Ease of use, screen...
Slight problems with reception outside of major metropolitan areas and some dead spots in small cities due to tri-band but overall pretty good (I use AT&T/Cingular...Highly recommend it! Please check out tri-band reception in your area first to avoid disappointment...The LG Shine is a good call if you want a cool phone that isn't like every other phone out there and you don't mind...
