This 55LX9500 TV is part of the LX Series of LG HDTVs. Key features this TV offers: A 1080p HDTV will have a 1920 x 1080 display and is suitable for an HDTV of any size and will present full HD video with stunning clarity and definition. Sets with Edge-Lit LED backlighting have LED bulbs installed in the bezel of the set, which send their light through a refractor, illuminating an LCD display. TruMotion 480 Hz is LG's method of motion interpolation, allowing the HDTV to display video at a 480 Hz refrsh rate. LED Plus Technology is a method of local dimming in which individual blocks of pixels are dimmed or brightened in order to increase the contrast and clarity of the picture.
