Instant-on multimedia button...Power port crowds a USB port...If you've dreamed of owning an ultraportable but you blanch at the sight of the typical price tag, the Lenovo 3000 V200 is a happy compromise...The V200 starts at less than $1200, though our test unit cost $1550 (as of 9/12/07...Still, 4 hours will let you get a good chunk of work...
Lenovo is known for its ThinkPad line of notebooks, which are fantastic, but let’s be honest, a bit plain...The V200 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, which is a Core 2 Duo CPU running at 2.2GHz...The right-side of the V200 sports an integrated SD card reader, 8X DVD+R/RW/CD-R/RW optical drive, dial-up and Ethernet ports, a USB port, and the power connector...We tested...
It isn't just that it's heavier at 2kg, nor that Lenovo has failed to make the V200 look even half as good - it's the overall package...But looks aren't everything, and once you get past the V200's appearance it's clear Lenovo hasn't lost its touch when it comes to building notebooks...The V200 also feels a lot more resistant to day-to-day...
Inexpensive, feature rich poorly built, worst tech/sales support I bought this laptop with a 1.5 GHz T5250 Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM and Win XP...They try to answer your questions by guessing things...Automatic backups that I have not asked for (nor was aware of) make that after using not even 50% of your diskspace you run out of space...
I was looking for a relatively compact, lightweight laptop to use while traveling...However, the amount of memory seems to be sufficient once the machine is booted...Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase...

The software for reinstalling/restoring/backing up/etc from Lenovo is absolutely amazing...Although the keyboard has an excellent feel I would have made the Home & End Keys direct keys by dropping the PstScreen/Pause Keys...I was getting about 4.2 hours with my old 700m...
