The picture quality is really good - more than high enough for a web-cam, probably even fine for higher end use...I am glad I listened to the recommendation from others...This model beats the 5000 hands down! Very good web cam...
the usb cable is very long so in case you need some lenght you won't be disappointed...First of all software is not important for me...I don't know what people do with their webcams but mine stays on the same place so I never have any stand problems like some people do and it stays perfectly on the mount pin...
