Lacks on-board decoding of high-def audio formats
Poorly designed remote...At an estimated street price of $175 (as of 2/18/09), the MemorexMVBD2510 is the least expensive Blu-ray player we've seen thus far...Overall, however, to me the images were often so bright that I almost wanted to put on sunglasses......
"The picture in blu ray format is exellent and the uncorverting old dvd is very good.I pay only 149.00..."
"Very inexpensive (was available on Woot for $140), works great for a profile 1.1 player, easy to upgrade firmware, outstanding 1080p picture quality, good upconversion for old DVDs..."
"do not recommend its worth spending the extra cash to get a better one..."
Inexpensive street price
USB 2.0 input
Analogue 5.1 outputs...No BD Live (Profile 1.1 only)
Poor video processing
No noise reduction
Doesn't decode DTS-HD Master...Thanks for reviewing this, I saw this and wondered how good it could be for the price...The trouble is this player offers only mediocre playback quality of both DVDs and BD content...dvd for the mediocre at best improvement in quality......
"Price SlowNeeds Update out of the boxTerrible customer service This player is extremely slow..."
"Sleek look with blue LEDs Front panel basic buttons Nice remote Very slow to operate and respond Low audio output I found this Blu-Ray player on woot.com for a good price..."
"The remote that came with it is really nice and functional..."
