Easy to install, Fairly sturdy remote, good DVDplayback (audio and visual) Expensive remote, less overall functions than the current Sony PS2 one...if you wanted the XBox to play only DVD movies, you shouldn't have bought the XBox...allows you to watch DVDs, cheap, good quality picture, many features, cool looking remote does not come automatically with Xbox, no eject/power...
Bought it about a year ago and last night it just stopped working...Took it apart and made sure all the battery/button contacts were good (looked ok...I'm getting another one though since it's cheaper than a good dvd unit and takes up less space...
In general, recommending the XBox DVDplaybackkit really comes down to one thing: if you already own a DVD player or not...The XBox is a good DVD player, but it's far from top-of the range, and if you own one of those, then there really isn't much point...Although, the XBox would make a good alternative, maybe if you have the DVD player in the living...
