They are equally good at producing fine music as they are with surround theater...I am sure the mid-base would be improved, but the satelites are a very good compromise...I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an excellent total speaker system...

My wife truly hated my huge Cerwin Vegas overwhelming our family room...I, however really like as good a sound as I can get...They sound good with out a subwoofer, but I would definatly recomend using one with these speakers...
