The Mitsubishi had two "average" ratings and all the rest "good", so how is it that the Sony is given a higher Editor's score...HD channels are life like especially sports channels.Cons are that it takes abot 5-10 secs for the TV guide to pop up which gets irritating after a while...I got mine for $3853 to my door (tax included) -- The Sony is not as good and is $1200...
The VCR resolution is really bad...Got an inexpensive Cal DVD and adjusted Colors and the skin tone is pretty good now...Technician looks at the TV and determines that the lamp motor is bad and needs to be replaced...
With the bright resolution regular digital channels don't look as good as my old TV, but the book gives you instructions on how to adjust for this (mainly by switching bright to natural) and this makes a big difference on most channels...I would recommend this TV, but I do advise you read the owners manual for set-up and picture adjustment...The light engine in these machine is bad and Mitsubishi...
