I found the Excursion 35828 at one of the big box stores and it had the features I wanted...It did this with both handsets and this happened on most calls.In addition, the messages callers left on the answering machine were garbled and hard to understand...I would NEVER purchase another phone from this company...
Despite having 5.8 GHZ and digital spread spectrum technology, the sound quality is poor, much worse than a Radio Shack product I purchased about three years ago but is no longer made...it was lower than V-Tech or Panasonic units...The instructions are clear and easy to follow if you have the patience to read them...
