After doing a lot of reading on consumer review sites I came to the conclusion that Uniden made the best phones...The speakerphone on the base had a good amount of volume, though the audio was a bit muffled as if something were covering the speaker...The overall voice clarity of the handset is very good, but as someone who is slightly hard of hearing, I wish the volume was a bit louder...
