Every camera has its pros and cons...Also, several smaller memory cards may be safer, and cheaper, than one large memory card, in case a card goes bad...It's not quite the smallest bag for this camera, but it's very sturdy, waterproof and has a good deal of padding...

The 12X zoom is amazing I think some people's reviews here speaking of bad color, noise, focus have not read the manual or practiced with the cameras functions enough to give an accurate appraisal of picture quality...I have experimented with a Sony 1.5 times tele converter with good results, as others have said there is noticable noise in some shots but overall quite acceptable...Overall a superb...
